If you are bored at home and looking for some CSGO action to fill in your days, the Future Sports Festival Budapest 2023 is a must-see. After the stop imposed by pandemic regulations, Esportmilla, one of the best esports organizers from Hungary, is back with this new 2023 edition of the Future Sports Festival.
What Is the V4 Event?
The event will take place from November 14 until November 21 and features top-tier teams competing for a prize pool of €300,000. We will learn more about all organizational aspects in greater detail in the following sections of the article.
The V4 Future Sports Festival will be held in special circumstances. The qualification rounds are entirely online, whereas, for the final games, the event will switch to in-presence, even though without an audience. The finalist teams will be invited to Budapest for the Budapest Final. Let’s get to know this tournament better.
Teams and Players Taking Part
A total of 12 teams are taking part in the event, both invited and not. The teams invited are:
- BIG (tabseN, tiziaN, syrsoN, k1to, gade and enkay J as coach)
- Entropiq (El1an, Lack1, NickelBack, Krad, Forester and hooch as coach).
- Gambit Esports (nafany, sh1ro, interz, Ax1Le, Hobbit and F_1N as coach)
- Movistar Riders (mopoz, ALEX, DeathZz, SunPayus, dav1g, and bladE as coach)
Another four teams have been invited thanks to their classification to the previous International Cup, again in the V4 Future Sports Festival, earlier this year in September/October. The following teams had classified in the top-4 rank at the event and have therefore been invited to the Budapest edition of the Festival:
- Sinners Esports (beastik, ZEDKO, SHOCK, NEOFRAG, oskar and tomkeejs as coach)
- Wisła Kraków (SZPERO, jedqr, Goofy, Markoś, phr and Loord as coach)
- Team Fiend (bubble, dream3r, REDSTAR, h4rn, SHiPZ)
- ONYX (Impulse, Dav, DiMKE, bondik, ArroW, and fajkus as coach)
Finally, the last four teams come from different backgrounds.
- Team Hungary (coolio, fleav, kory, Aaron, bodito, and gabesson as coach) have been invited as Hungarian representatives.
- AGO (Furlan, mhL, F1KU, leman, kRaSnaL, and miNIr0x as coach) have won first place at the Puchar NDE League.
- eSuba (blogg1s, luko, twist, Pechyn, sAvana1 and benq1 as coach) won the Makjstrovstvá SR 2023.
- ENTERPRISE esports (forsyy, The eLiVe, manguss, Adejis, matys) came first in the COOL League Season 10, qualifying not only for the V4 FSF 2023 but also for Season 11 and the Mistrivstí ČR 2023.
Stages and Current Results
The V4 FSF 2023 is organized in three parts: a Play-In Stage, a Group Stage, and then the Playoffs.
Play-In Stage
It features two double-elimination format (GLS). Each group has four teams, and the top two of each group advance to the Group Stage. At the moment of writing, this stage is still going on, and results are getting updated continuously. Here are the current standings.

Group Stage
The Group Stage will again be in a double-elimination format. There will be two groups of four teams each. Out of those eight teams, the latter from each group will be eliminated. The remaining six will proceed to the Playoffs in the following way:
- Group stage winners advance to the Semifinals;
- Group stage runners-up advance to the Quarterfinals in the Upper Bracket;
- Group stage 3rd place teams advance to the Quarterfinals in the Lower Bracket.
Playoffs
Playoffs are organized in a single-elimination bracket format, meaning that there will be only one chance for every team that reaches this stage to reach the Grand Final. All series will be bo3, except the Grand Final, which will be, as tradition demands, a bo5. It will take place on November 21st.
Prize Pool and Distribution
The total prize pool for the V4 Future Sports Festival Budapest 2023 is 325,000 EUR. Out of these, €25,000 go for the V4 International Online Cup, whereas the remaining €300,000 is split among the teams. In the table below, you can clearly see the complete prize distribution.

Coverage and Broadcast Talent
The V4 event is covered by three official Twitch streams, each in a specific language: English, Hungarian and Russian. V4’s main Twitch channel is the one in charge of the English coverage, while esport1 and the official UCC League channel will focus, respectively, the other two languages and communities.

The English broadcast is hosted by James Banks, a renowned esports host and commentator with huge expertise in Counter-Strike Global Offensive, his main game. Alongside him, a decent variety of commentators and analysts such as kassad, natu, TheEternalJay, and Dweg are in charge of detailing the encounters.
For the Hungarian broadcast, talents are fewer but equally prepared. The desk is left to SpeeDy, while kolor, gabesson, and more will commentate and analyze the event.
