Valve has released a significant update to CS2, featuring new items and gameplay elements. The most notable additions are The Armory and the game’s first-ever weapon charms, which are the stars of this patch.
This update surprised the community, especially since many CS2 players had previously expressed frustration over the game’s lack of updates, contrasting it with Valve’s work on Deadlock. While this patch doesn’t bring frogs to CS2, players can now buy… sausages.

The Armory
Starting from October 2, players can purchase The Armory through the CS2 store on Steam. Once activated, playing the game will earn players credits, which can be spent to unlock items within The Armory.
The Armory offers three main collections: the Overpass Collection, the Graphic Collection, and the Sport and Field Collection. Additionally, players will have access to gallery cases, which showcase “17 community-designed weapon finishes, covering a broad range of art styles.”
There’s more: The Armory also introduces new Elemental and Craft Stickers, customizable stickers that can be tweaked to fit your personal style.
The rest of the patch includes balance adjustments and bug fixes, enhancing your overall gameplay experience. For a detailed list of these changes, visit Valve’s official Release Notes.
CS2 Charms
One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of weapon charms. While charms are a popular cosmetic feature in FPS games like Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege (Charms) and Valorant (Gun Buddies), their arrival in CS2 feels significant — and it seems they’re here to stay.
What makes CS2’s charms unique is the freedom they offer: players can place them wherever they like on their weapons. One thing is for sure, though: whether you’re landing kills or being taken down, your charm will be swinging in full view.
